Jesus told my son
'The days have gone.'
My boy asked me what he'd meant.
I couldn't say.
I sent my son to make jelly.
He did.
Lime it was.
I don't like lime
but I thanked him anyway.
It occurred to me
After my bowl had been taken for washing
that my son had never really known
about how days come and go.
He'd never understood how it happened.
